Hand Painted Side Plate
This English delftware china side plate is crafted and painted entirely by hand and features designs inspired by English Sporting Scenes from Alkens Characteristic Sketches of Shooting. Published in 1826 this book belonged to James Purdey and is still on display in the Long Room at Audley House. There are six numbered designs on the side plates each featuring a different game scene.
