Long Room
The Long Room remains largely as it was in James Purdey's day, the original cabinets containing a collection of historic
Purdey guns dating from 1816 to 1880, whilst the portraits of successive generations of Purdeys keep a watchful eye on the
business they founded and nurtured. To enter the Long Room is to experience a unique part of England's sporting history,
and it is still where many of the world's most distinguished and discerning people come to be measured for their new guns.
